What to Expect on Sundays

At The Bridge we want you to be comfortable. When you visit on a Sunday it is our hope that you will experience inspiring music, a message that is relevant to your life, friendly people, and an enjoyable atmosphere.

When You Visit…

The first thing you’ll notice is our casual atmosphere with people of all ages and walks of life. We’re more concerned about your real life needs than about what you’re wearing. So dress casual and you’ll fit right in.

Music has the power to speak to our hearts. When we sing, we will sing songs of celebration and intimate songs about our relationship with God. When we sing we want you to feel comfortable. Some prefer singing, and others favour moments of quiet reflection. You may enjoy standing or you may prefer sitting. The choice is yours and we encourage you to do what makes you feel comfortable.

Our messages focus on real life issues. We want you to be able to say that what we talked about on Sunday helped you throughout the week: at home, at work, and with your life.

Church, for us, is not about religion, it’s about a relationship with God. It’s not about pretending that we’re perfect, it’s about a God who is willing to give His grace to grow us.  We are a community of broken, imperfect people attempting to reveal a perfect Savior.

For your kids

Children are very important at The Bridge. We are committed to ensuring your kids have a great experience at church. We offer age appropriate programs from nursery to grade 5.

NURSERY – infant to 2 years old.
PRE-SCHOOL – 3 to 5  years old.
BRIDGE KIDZ – Sr. Kindergarten to Grade 5.

The staff and volunteers strive to create a safe and fun place for children to learn practical lessons from the Bible and begin to develop a relationship with God.

All children are registered upon arrival. We start our service at 10:05 sharp so we encourage parents to get there a few minutes early to register their kids and grab a coffee before the service begins. When you arrive turn right when you come through the doors and go through the “purple” door and someone from our Children’s Ministry Staff will be more than happy to greet you and get you to the right spot.

Children in Senior Kindergarten to Grade 5 have their own specially designed program where they begin the morning in a large-group singing fun worship songs, participating in a game and listening to a Bible story shared by an energetic speaker. The second half of the morning is spent in a small-groups organized by grade.

Youth

After enjoying a time of worship with the adults, Junior Youth (Grade 6, 7 and 8 students) are dismissed to participate in a time of learning focused on biblical principles that can be lived out all week long. Discussion topics are designed to help a build a solid foundation and strong relationship with God.

On occasion the Junior Youth will remain in the main Sunday morning worship gathering.
