How to use INTERAC e-Transfer
Log in to your financial institution's online or mobile banking and navigate to Interac e-Transfer Send Money.
Select the account you would like funds transferred from.
Add or select a contact and fill out the name and e-mail address (donate@thebridgebancroft.ca) of the person you wish to send money to.
Type in the specified amount you are sending, along with a personalized message. Enter a security question and answer if the recipient doesn’t have the Autodeposit feature turned on and complete the transfer.
The recipient will receive a notification and can deposit the funds to their account through their online or mobile banking.

No worries, INTERAC e-Transfer is offered through almost all banking institutions that offer online services. Navigate to you online banking login page and search for e-Transfer send money.
How secure is it to send money by e-Transfer?
You are not sending money by email or text message; only the notification travels over the Internet advise the recipient that the transfer has been initiated and to provide instructions on how to deposit the money. The money always resides safely at a financial institution, and is transferred through existing payment networks that financial institutions have used for years to settle cheques, bank machine deposits and withdrawals.
What is the security question and answer for?
The security question and answer is the shared secret between the sender and recipient of the Interac e-transfer. It is one of the methods for validating the recipient of the money transferred using Interac e-Transfer.
How do I cancel an Interac e-Transfer?
To cancel an Interac e-Transfer that you have sent, you must log back in to your financial institutions online banking page. From there you can review your transaction or payment history to select the Interac e-Transfer you wish, and use the cancel option provided.
