Doubt is something many of us deal with when it comes to our faith. There are many good reasons for us have doubts. However, if we give Jesus the benefit of doubt, we will find him to be true.
Could it be that there is more to prayer than we thought? James who was known as “Old Camel Knees” because of the callouses on his knees; chooses to close his letter to the early church exhorting them in prayer. And, two thousand years ago, Jesus pulled his disciples aside and taught them to pray. In examining what James says and Jesus’ instructions, we find a disconnect between their teaching and the way we typically approach prayer. We discover that there are some things about prayer we think are important but aren't; and there are some things we don't think are important that are.James 5:13-20
James has a great way of describing faith in very practical terms when he talks about how our faith grows. He tells us to consider the patience of farmers and apply what we observe to the growth of our faith. James 5:7-12

What is the source of conflict in our relationships? We tend to blame problems on the circumstances that hurt us without taking any responsibility ourselves. Yet, are others to blame for our unhappiness or discontent? God is the source of everything we need and all we have to do is ask Him for his help. James 4:1-3
Our words determine the course of our lives and affect the environment and course of the lives of others. We need to realize the positive and negative potential of our words and how what we say affects others. James 3:1-12
The book of James tells us not to show favoritism to others. When we do - our motives are evil. If we want to have faith that works, we need to see people through God's eyes and honor those that we have a tendency to dishonor. James 2:1-13
We must do more than listen to sermons. Believing right is pointless unless we do something about it. When we put feet on our faith, we will be bless-able and God will use what we are doing to bring healing to our souls. James 1:19-25
When we are facing difficult times, God wants us to trust him. Adversity in our lives is not evidence of a lack of God's faithfulness. This is God's way of building faith in us. James 1:1-12
You can believe all of the right things, but if you don't apply what you believe to your life, it is useless to you. Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. God will use what you believe to preserve your life, finances, and family through applying what you believe.
Who we are in God, how God sees us is crucial in our ability to connecting with God.
In this message we look at the story of Gideon and learn lessons from his story that we can apply to our own lives about our identity and how God sees us and how that effects our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
We can control our busyness by re-prioritizing our values. God wants us to put Him ahead of our daily worries and then He will take care of all our needs. If Jesus is our first priority, all other things will fall into place. Busyness is just a symptom of seeking the wrong things first.
Busyness is another enemy of intimacy with God. Knowing God requires that we give Him "un-rushed" time and our undivided attention. If we are too busy to spend time each day with our heavenly father, we've lost perspective. Are we willing to re-prioritize our lives to invest in things with a long-term benefit?
